2. Acceptance of Terms
By using this Site or enrolling in a course, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the Site or proceed with enrolment. You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. If you are enrolling on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
3. Service Description
Akal Suria provides online AI development courses delivered via recorded lessons, live sessions, and mentored assignments. Courses are available to learners in Malaysia and, subject to technical availability, internationally. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to third-party platforms used to deliver course content and will not be liable for disruptions outside our control.
4. User Accounts
Access to course materials is provided through a learner account created upon enrolment. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access. Accounts are personal and may not be transferred or shared.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to use the Site and course materials lawfully and in good faith. The following activities are prohibited:
- Sharing course content, recordings, or materials with anyone not enrolled in the course
- Reproducing, distributing, or reselling any course content in any form
- Misrepresenting your identity or submitting another person's work as your own
- Using the platform to transmit harmful, offensive, or unlawful content
- Attempting to interfere with or circumvent technical security measures
- Using automated tools to access or scrape course content
6. Intellectual Property
All course content, materials, recordings, and exercises are the intellectual property of Akal Suria Sdn Bhd and are protected under Malaysian copyright law and applicable international agreements. Upon enrolment, you are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access and use the content for your own learning. This licence does not permit reproduction, distribution, or derivative works. Work you produce independently as part of course exercises remains your own.
7. Payment Terms
Course fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are payable in full prior to the start of each cohort unless an instalment arrangement has been confirmed in writing. Fees cover the duration of the course including all materials, recorded sessions, live sessions, and mentor access as described. We accept payment via bank transfer and approved online payment methods. Receipts will be issued upon confirmed payment.
Refund policy: If you withdraw from a course before the second session, you may request a refund of 80% of the course fee. After the second session, no refund is available. Requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. We reserve the right to decline refund requests that do not meet these conditions.
8. Course Enrolment Terms
- Enrolment: Enrolment is confirmed once payment is received and acknowledged by Akal Suria.
- Course access: Access to materials begins on the stated cohort start date.
- Completion: There is no formal completion certificate unless otherwise stated for a specific course. Completing the programme and submitting a capstone or portfolio project demonstrates completion.
- Academic integrity: Submitted work must be your own. We may investigate and take appropriate action if plagiarism or academic dishonesty is identified, including removal from the course without refund.
- Cohort changes: If you need to defer to a later cohort, please contact us at least 7 days before your cohort starts. Deferral is subject to availability and is offered at our discretion.
9. Disclaimers
Courses are provided on an "as is" basis. While we work to ensure the accuracy and relevance of all content, we do not warrant that course content is entirely free from error or that it will meet every learner's specific requirements. We do not make any representation that completing a course will lead to employment, income, or any particular professional outcome. Individual results will depend on effort, prior knowledge, and circumstances outside our control.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under Malaysian law, Akal Suria's total liability to you in connection with any course or use of the Site shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant course. We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses including loss of income, loss of data, or business interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud or death and personal injury caused by our negligence.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Akal Suria, its directors, staff, and mentors from any claims, damages, or costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of course content, or your violation of any applicable law. This obligation survives termination of your enrolment.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to a course without prior notice if you breach these Terms, engage in conduct that disrupts other learners, or fail to make payment as agreed. You may withdraw from a course at any time by notifying us in writing; refund eligibility is as set out in Section 7. Upon termination, your licence to access course content ceases immediately.
13. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] so that we can attempt to resolve the matter informally. If informal resolution is not possible within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to the courts of Malaysia, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Akal Suria.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our obligations to a successor entity.
- Notices: Notices to us should be sent to [email protected] or to our registered address.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify enrolled learners by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Site or enrolment in a course after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The current version will always be available at this page.
